Job Title: Security Management Specialist (Birmingham)

Job Description: Our client seeks  Security Management Specialists to be based in Brimingham and to take full operational and service responsibility for their contracts. The contract comprises of Security Management of a number of large building (accessible to the public) and staff within the Greater Birmingham area. 

The overall role of the Security Manager is to deliver a safe environment for those who use or work within these publicly assessable buildings. This will be achieved by:

• creating a pro-security culture
• deterrence of security breaches / incidents
• prevention of security breaches / incidents
• detection/reporting of incidents
• investigation of incidents
• sanctions following investigations
• quality assurance/support

The key elements of their Security Management business is:

• identifying problems by analysis of security trends and risks;
• working within clear strategic framework and establishing a common language of aims, objectives and methods;
• creating a strong and flexible working structure which can focus collective and professional expertise on the business issues to be addressed;
• using the structure to take a generic range of action in respect of each specific area where security needs to be strengthened;
• quality assuring all work to ensure it meets high standards; and

 

 

• continuously reviewing policy and procedure to learn from operational experience to minimise risks and prevent future security related incidents from occurring.

The successful candidate must have:

•   practical experience in the field of Security Management
• practical experience in the field of prevention, detection and investigation of theft, security breach, offences against the person and property.
• strong report writing / written and verbal communication skills
• proven investigative interviewing experience
• analytical / problem solving skills requiring high attention to detail
• highly organised, proven ability to plan and organise own work and co-ordinate work of others
• Initiative and be self motivated
